How to Get Into a Workout Routine

Do you find yourself making excuses when it comes to your workout routine? Do you keep telling yourself “I’ll start tomorrow” or “I don’t have the time” then find tomorrow comes, but the time for fitness never does?

I would like to share with you some super easy but important Skinny Life tips that will help you get into a morning workout routine and stay in one.

Wake up every day at the same time:

When you train your body to wake up at the same time every day (even on the weekends), it will help you create a natural alarm clock.  No more hitting the snooze button repeatedly because your body be ready to wake up and start working out.

Prepare yourself for tomorrow’s workout:

Take out your workout clothes the night before and put them across the room with your alarm clock. The moment the alarm clock rings, put on your workout clothes and get moving.

Meditate before your day starts:

Right after you wake up, focus on breathing and reconnect with your “why”. Picture yourself where you want to be in 3, 6, 12 months. See yourself healthier and in better physical shape. Focus on the good things in your life, the things you are most grateful for, as this helps with negative moods and fatigue. This will also help you stay focused on your goals, both short and long term.

Stretch:

Get your heart pumping and blood flowing with some light stretches to awaken your body and let it know a workout is on the way.

Hydrate:

Start your day with a fresh glass of water and begin hydrating immediately. It will help purify your body’s internal system so nutrients that enter your body will be better absorbed.

With just a few simple adjustments in the morning, you will be able to start a routine and stick to it.
